Policy waste disposal – hazardous materials

The university established clear guidelines for the proper management of laboratory waste. All laboratories are required to follow waste sorting and disposal procedures. Our “Laboratory Waste Handling Regulations” detail the handling, removal, and reporting of hazardous waste, including chemical, biological, and radioactive materials, with specific protocols for each type. The regulation was last updated in 2024. The Environmental Protection and Safety and Health Center ensures compliance across all labs, holding quarterly committee meetings to review policies and address hazardous waste management issues.
