Local education programmes on climate

In 2023, NYCU launched several significant educational and promotional initiatives focused on climate change. Key events include:
1.Lectures and Webinars: The university hosted a series of lectures, including a master lecture on 20 September 2023 by Dr. Gunter Pauli, a leading advocate of the blue economy, on the topic “Zero Emission Ship & Blue Energy System.” In addition, the university held webinars and public lectures on topics such as achieving net zero and climate change action.
2.EMBA Programme Course: NYCU’s EMBA programme introduced a course titled “Introduction to Strategic Carbon Management,” aimed at equipping professionals with essential skills and analytical tools to understand carbon footprint management and devise strategies for achieving net zero emissions.
3.Expert Training: The NYCU Disaster Prevention and Water Environment Research Centre organised expert training sessions focused on the safety assessment of water storage and diversion structures.
