Academic freedom policy

1. NYCU issued the Statement on Academic Freedom in 2021, ensuring the protection of academic freedom for faculty and researchers, including the freedom to teach and conduct research without political or commercial interference. This policy applies to both junior and senior academics and is available online.
2. The university also offers resources and training to enhance faculty teaching and organizes annual New Faculty Orientations and Retreats to familiarize junior academics with university resources.
3. To foster academic innovation, NYCU provides support programs for faculty at all levels. For early-career researchers, special incentive and subsidy programs promote fundamental academic research and the implementation of higher education development projects.
