Access to food security knowledge

1.As the agricultural workforce continues to decline and age, the Intelligent Photonic Agricultural Robot Research Center at our university has pioneered cutting-edge smart machinery. Offering technical expertise and consultation, we empower traditional manufacturers and next-generation leaders by integrating electric, smart, and unmanned systems into existing agricultural equipment. These innovations, specifically tailored for high-value crops, boost agriculture’s global competitiveness.

2.Our open courseware platform offers a variety of courses in food management, food safety, and regulation, free of charge to staff, students, and the local community, enriching knowledge and enhancing skills for all.

3.The discharge of nuclear wastewater from Fukushima, Japan, raises critical environmental, fisheries, and food safety concerns. In response, the university has organised an enlightening lecture, “Understanding the Characteristics of Tritium and Taiwan’s Response to Japan’s Tritium-Containing Wastewater Discharge.” This talk delves into tritium’s nature, Japan’s discharge strategy, the IAEA’s oversight, and Taiwan’s countermeasures, addressing public apprehensions comprehensively.
