Policy development for clean energy technology
NYCU continues to support the government’s clean energy policies through initiatives like the Taiwan-US Climate Club, which aims to align Taiwan with international carbon standards. NYCU has also established the College of Artificial Intelligence at its Tainan Campus and collaborates with the Tainan City Government on the infrastructure development for the Shalun Smart Green Energy Science City. NYCU seeks to transform Shalun into a major research and development hub for green energy technology in the Asia-Pacific region. These initiatives align with the government’s Great South Development Plan and the New Southbound Policy. President Tsai Ing-Wen has stated that NYCU’s facilities in Shalun will serve as a solid foundation for future generations, supporting the nation’s sustainable energy goals.
