Assistance to low-carbon innovation

■ NYCU plays a pivotal role in fostering collaboration between industry and academia, addressing technical challenges, and connecting startups with essential resources, including technology, funding, and market access. For instance, NYCU’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre has supported the startup “EAK Consultants & Sustainability Technology Co., Ltd.” in developing renewable energy technologies, such as hydrogen fuel cells, smart energy-saving systems, and circular energy solutions. These initiatives contribute to Taiwan’s low-carbon development and promote sustainable energy technologies throughout the Asia-Pacific region. NYCU also continues to support low-carbon and sustainable industries through initiatives such as the DIYGreen Zero-Waste Circular Urban Farm and its collaboration with the Taiwan Hydrogen Energy Development Association.
■ The Ennoconn-NYCU ESG Net Zero Transformation and Innovation Research Centre was established to promote the adoption of ESG practices by enterprises and the development of smart cities to achieve net-zero emissions. The centre provides professional guidance for companies and cultivates green technology leaders with forward-thinking mindsets, fostering sustainable corporate practices. NYCU’s Centre of Industry Accelerator and Patent Strategy (IAPS) has cultivated over 950 startup teams and scientific research teams, with technology teams supported by the project raising more than NT$300 million in funding annually. Mentorship forms a huge part of the IAPS accelerator experience. We gather the top minds in the industry to connect our startups to partners, providing industry expertise and helping the businesses prepare for investment.
