Arts and heritage contribution
NYCU treats the arts as a public service through its year-round NYCU Arts Season, delivering over 30 public events annually. Three professional venues—the Music Performance Hall, Art Gallery, and Art Space—serve as civic stages for university and community choirs and ensembles, as well as theatre and dance productions, concerts, exhibitions, workshops, and documentary screenings, offered in both series and ad-hoc formats. By partnering with external arts groups and providing free platforms for literature, installations, and performance, NYCU lowers the cost of cultural participation to zero. The Arts Center also extends learning beyond the classroom through collaborations with the National Theater & Concert Hall and local redevelopment projects, connecting students and the public to live arts while strengthening the region’s cultural ecosystem.
