Relationships with regional NGOs and government for SDG policy

NYCU is directly involved in and provides input to national and regional SDG policy development for government and NGOs. Our academics are often invited to serve on advisory panels, task forces, and working groups, where they provide research-based insights and recommendations on effective policy measures. Recently, our faculty members Mei-Lien Chen and Jin-Li Hu were involved in shaping the national sustainable development vision and strategy, as well as reviewing national proposals related to sustainable development. Moreover, our faculty members serve as advisors to various regional policy-making bodies, offering expert analysis and recommendations that help shape SDG policies. The university currently has 357 faculty members who have been invited to serve on various professional and advisory committees to provide expert opinions. These efforts include working with:
■Central competent authorities: such as the Executive Yuan, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Environmental Protection Administration, and Ministry of Transportation and Communications.
■Local governments: including Taipei City Government, New Taipei City Government, Hsinchu City Government, Chiayi County Government, and Tainan City Government.
■Research institutions: such as Academia Sinica, the National Atomic Research Institute, the National Academy for Educational Research, the National Institute of Cyber Security, and the National Health Research Institutes.
