University access to local farmers and food producers

The university provides access to facilities, land, and platforms to support local farmers, producers, and community-based sustainable practices.
1. Market Access and Direct Sales Platform
The university offers a dedicated physical platform to connect local farmers directly with the campus community:
Auditorium Market: The NYCU Co-op organizes the “”Auditorium Market”” weekly, providing local farmers with a venue to sell their fresh produce, homemade foods, and a variety of agricultural products. This includes fruits and vegetables from small-holder farms, light meals, and other locally sourced items.

2. Access to Campus Land and Community Canteen
The university provides access to campus land and resources for community and educational initiatives focused on sustainable practices:
NYCU Six Fuel Team Initiative: This project utilizes university resources to foster social networks and local community unity. It involves:
Raising its own chickens.
Sharing produce.
Running a community canteen.
