Health outreach programmes

■ Local communities:
NYCU offers courses for the Senior University, serving individuals aged 55 or older in the neighborhood. The courses include age-related disease (ARD), health and recreation, and a series of hands-on activities.

■ Disadvantaged people:
During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, NYCU’s Boya College Center held a “Crocheted Knockers Workshop.” 60 participants learned crocheting skills to create soft, comfortable breast prostheses. These were donated to the Hope Foundation for Cancer Care, offering a thoughtful option for post-operative cancer survivors and conveying a message of community care to help them regain confidence.

■ Refugee/immigrant communities:
Scholarship Program for Ukrainian Students
NYCU actively recruits international students, including those from Ukraine. The university provides scholarships and comprehensive support measures to ensure they can adapt smoothly to their academic and daily lives and successfully complete their studies.
