Sexual and reproductive health care services for students
Our university provides students with access to free sexual and reproductive health information and education services. Here are the details:
National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) promotes sexual health education, which has evolved from a historical focus on preventing teenage pregnancy, STDs, and sexual assault to actively cultivating a positive perspective on sexuality. The curriculum now emphasizes self-respect and the importance of building healthy relationships.
On campus, the university has installed condom vending machines (at both the Yangming and Chiao Tung campuses) and provides anonymous access to menstrual products. Additionally, a confidential counseling email and hotline for sexual education and HIV/AIDS prevention are available, jointly supported by the Health Services Section and the Health and Counseling Center. These measures are designed to enhance students’ awareness of sexual health and their ability to protect themselves.
