Preventing water system pollution
The University has established strict wastewater management procedures to prevent polluted water from entering the water system. All laboratories must recycle experimental waste liquids; direct discharge into drainage channels is strictly prohibited. A licensed treatment process is in place to ensure safe handling. In addition, our wastewater treatment facilities employ multiple processes—including Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) activated sludge, sand filtration, A2O, and membrane bioreactors (MBR)—together with chemical treatments to ensure effluent consistently meets legal standards. These measures help minimize environmental risks, including those caused by potential accidents or incidents on campus.
