Promoting conscious water usage in the wider community

The university is committed to promoting conscious water usage beyond campus. One of our spin-off companies, “AgriTalk,” has developed an innovative smart agriculture system that monitors soil moisture, temperature, light, and CO₂ levels to determine the optimal timing and amount of water needed for irrigation. The system’s widespread adoption in agriculture significantly reduces irrigation water use, contributing to more efficient and sustainable water management. Additionally, the Disaster Prevention and Water Environment Research Center conducts integrated research projects to support government agencies in developing sustainable water technologies, including green water treatment processes, river alert level setting and application, and comprehensive reservoir management and safety assessments. The Center also organizes lectures and outreach activities to enhance public awareness of water conservation and sustainable use.
