With One Tree, One Hundred Harvests Project already in motion, this year NYCU is now looking to expand its current vision into “One Tree, One Hundred Harvests, Ten Years Vision”, bringing together everyone’s wisdom in response to the rapid changes in technology, ecology, society, and workplace. This project revolves around the aging population and health, smart systems, information computing and processing power, establishing future industries, expanding global connections and many other trends as the primary focus for future talent cultivation to further establish our Liberal Arts College in conjunction with Industry Academia Innovation School.
NYCU President Chi-Hung Lin said that with COVID-19 serving as the critical foundation, for the next ten years our school has proposed Liberal Arts College to leverage general education community, internationalization through bilingual campus programs, innovative academic system to promote industry-academia research further and build our university’s future in the post-pandemic era.
Industry-academia cooperation is one of the key points of NYCU’s future development. NYCU established Industry Academia Innovation School in accordance with government’s regulations on Industry-University Cooperation, which consists of Institute of Pioneer Semiconductor Innovation and Institute of Artificial Intelligence Innovation. Graduate students from both programs’ have recently enrolled in this department in August 2021.
