NYCU Cooperates with NUS and Other Schools to Create an Immersive Online Space with the Assistance of International Partners

From July 15 to 16, 2021, NYCU collaborated with the National University of Singapore to launch the “Joint Virtual Immersion Programme,” which had the participation of 150 students from4 universities in 4 different regions worldwide. Professor Lim Sirirat Sae of NYCU’s Institute of Management of Technology and Professor Wu Tian-Li of the International College of Semiconductor Technology was invited to speak at the event, share with the students from Singapore, Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan about Taiwan’s technological development and the features of NYCU’s industry-academia-research collaboration  The event was well-received by attendees. 16 students from NYCU also participated in the event by hosting 4 cultural workshops sharing Taiwan’s indigenous cultures, TV drama development, convenience store services, and campus life with students of NYCU’s sister schools.

 

The “Joint Virtual Immersion Programme” was initiated by the National University of Singapore, in collaboration with NYCU, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Chongqing University. The programme aimed to establish a global platform for teachers and students from the four universities to exchange professional knowledge and create opportunities for bilateral interaction. With the help of international partners, teachers and students can expand their perspectives internationally and continue their international education even if borders are closed due to the epidemic.
