In  2021, NYCU’s Center for Teacher Education cooperated with Taoyuan Municipal Shou Shan Senior High School to implement the MOE’s “Local Education Counseling Work Plan”. Based on the spirit of “setting down one’s roots”, the professional team integrates technology applications, bilingual teaching, and other fields of the University’s teachers’ expertise to assist in the surrounding education system of Taoyuan City and enhance teaching quality. In order to support the professional development of teachers on the job and provide domestic and foreign education information, on December 24, 2011, Audrey Tang was invited to give a special lecture on cross-domain teacher empowerment, a talk that guided teachers on how to implement the digital education and bilingual education in literacy education.

This tripartite discussion was conducted by Minister Audrey Tang, director Jerry Chih-Yuan Sun of the Center for Teacher Education, and Principal Xu Zong-Sheng of the Shou Shan Senior High School. The three topics of science and technology, education, and bilingualism were the starting point of this discussion. Audrey Tang took the “Creating Literacy in Technology and Travel” teaching plan as the main axis and shared how to integrate technology into literacy education with more than 200 teachers and students attending the meeting. Director Sun shared with the participants how his ” Interactive Learning Technology and Motivation Lab” team used various innovative interactive feedback mechanisms to improve learning motivation. This plan used creative dialogue questions to develop a new perspective on the three major areas of science and technology, education, and bilingualism, and implemented the core spirit of SDG 4 in the “Local Education Counseling Work Plan”.
