語言和聲音構成了作品的基礎，藝術家Jean-Baptiste Phou通過它們揭示了身份和代際傳遞的複雜性。 他的作品以移民經歷為背景，同時強調溝通所面臨的挑戰。
在電影《My Mother’s Tongue》中，Jean-Baptiste Phou 調查了溝通、關係和失落的崩潰。
本活動活動將進行《My Mother’s Tongue》電影放映與QA，透過電影、交流和工作坊，藝術家邀請觀眾一同踏上和解之旅。
Language and sound form the foundation of the work, through which the artist, Jean-Baptiste Phou, reveals the complexity of identity and intergenerational transmission. His work is situated in the context of the diaspora experience while underscoring the universality of communication challenges. In the film, My Mother’s Tongue, the artist investigates the breakdown of communication, relationships and loss.
Aug 26’s event has the screening of My Mother’s Tongue and its workshop, followed by a conversation with the artist. Through film, exchange and workshop, artist Jean-Baptiste invites the audience to go on a journey of reconciliation.

▶ 活動內容 Agenda：
活動分為兩部分：
（一）電影放映與映後講座（一個半小時，可線上參與）
（二）工作坊（一個半小時，限實體參與，名額有限）
The event consists of two parts:
(1) Film screening and discussion (1.5 hour, online participation is welcome);
(2) On-site workshop (1.5 hours, limited space)

▶ 語言 Language：放映電影為法語電影，配有高棉語和英語字幕；活動將以英語進行。The film in French, with Khmer and English subtitles; the event, including the workshop, will be in English.

📌 講者介紹 │ Speaker
👉 Jean-Baptiste Phou
Jean-Baptiste Phou 是一位作家和跨域藝術家，出生於法國，父母是柬埔寨華人。 他也為一名演員，曾在戲劇、音樂劇中表演，並且創作、導戲，包括以法語和高棉語演出的 “Cambodia, Here I Am”。
他將自己的實踐擴展到視覺藝術，目前正在發展聲音、電影、圖像、裝置和藝術表演方面的作品。 其相關創作多以身份、移民和少數群體經歷等為主題。
Jean-Baptiste Phou is a writer and multidisciplinary artist born in France to Chinese-Cambodian parents. First an actor, he performed in plays, and musicals, before writing and directing his own plays, including ‘Cambodia, Here I Am’ presented both in French and Khmer. He has extended his practice to visual arts and is currently developing work in sound, film, image, installations and art performance. His work tackles issues around identity, migration and minority experiences.
