Chunghwa Telecom and NYCU cooperate to develop AI smart medical services

2023-02-06

In response to the trend of advancement in AI smart medical care, NYCU, and Chunghwa Telecom combined their respective professional advantages to jointly develop AI advanced smart medical services, which were exhibited at 2021 “Healthcare+ Expo‧TAIWAN”. According to Chunghwa Telecom, they are developing various AI smart medical services on Chunghwa Telecom’s AI PaaS and providing automatic machine learning (AutoML) functionalities for numerical data. Doctors may now focus on medical data analysis and professional applications to quickly complete the AI training model because they no longer need to spend their time writing code thanks to this service.

The NYCU Digital Medicine Center used the powerful AutoML function of AI PaaS in conjunction with MLOps life-cycle management to successfully develop multiple medical AI projects. They were also successful in effectively sharing the AI computing resources and the security authority control. In the future, the medical AI model will be progressively merged with global public clouds and promoted to overseas markets through AI PaaS hybrid cloud resource management capabilities.

Albert C. Yang, director of the NYCUDigital Medicine Center, said that smart healthcare is already in development. The successful example of the integration of medical and informatics can help doctors and hospitals benefit more patients and make Taiwan an international leader in smart healthcare.
