Planning development – new build standards

All new buildings and renovation projects in the University are conducted in accordance with the directions of the Taipei City Green Building Autonomy Act, the Hsinchu City Land Use Development and Urban Design Review Commission, and the Working Guidelines for the Promotion of Green Building Labels. The University currently has ten EEWH certified green buildings, with five certified, two bronze, two silver, and one diamond-level label. Additionally, NYCU formed an industry-academia collaboration with Delta Electronics, Inc. to provide one-stop consulting and engineering services for green buildings and smart buildings for Zhiyuan Building. This project introduces IoT-based infrastructure with an automated integrated system, and Delta Electronics helps NYCU lower construction costs and provides the needed energy management, automated control, system integration, and security monitoring services, improving operational efficiency.
