Off-campus water conservation support

• The university supports off-campus water conservation, cooperates with related policies, and promotes water conservation on the university’s website. The university also supports the establishment of a personnel system for wastewater (sewage) treatment and assists companies in training specialized wastewater treatment personnel. These efforts enhance the professional skills of wastewater treatment and pollution prevention management personnel, and ensure the proper handling and management of wastewater, thereby maintaining ecological and environmental protection.
• Taiwan is surrounded by the sea, which has been used as an alternative source of water to solve the water shortage issues. Through research such as (1) utilizing bio-inspired nanotechnology to develop seawater desalination mechanisms with high yield, low energy consumption, and low carbon emissions, and (2) reducing the impact of brine released from seawater desalination through engineering technology research, we hope that the off-campus water conservation and utilization measures can achieve better development.
