Cooperation on water security

  • NYCU’s Disaster Prevention & Water Environment Research Center (DPWE) has assisted various government agencies, such as the Water Resources Agency (WRA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and the New Taipei City Government, in implementing flood-related response measures. In addition, regional integration plans such as the development of reservoir and river monitoring techniques are being implemented to promote water safety for the public.
  • NYCU’s Environment Technology & Smart System Research Center (ETSS) has conducted projects for public and private sectors such as the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), Taiwan Water Corporation, and the Environmental Protection Administration, etc. With the support of NSTC, ETSS has established the “Water Purification Technology Industry-Academia Alliance” to facilitate development, address challenges, and create value for water resources. Morevoer, ETSS also regularly organizes international water events and seminars such as “Taiwan International Water Week” and supports the WRA every year to promote cooperation among industry, government and academia on water-related topics and issues.
