Policy- and lawmakers outreach and education
1. NYCU offers part-time advanced degrees and allows policymakers, lawmakers, and the public to enroll in individual credit courses. The School of Law plays a leading role in policy engagement, with its annual technology law conference drawing government and private sector participants to discuss emerging legal and technological issues.
2. In 2024, NYCU hosted the World Bamboo Forum, welcoming over 200 experts from 30 countries to highlight bamboo’s diverse applications and its role in sustainable development.
3. NYCU collaborated with the National Science and Technology Center for Disaster Reduction on a long-term study of 1,236 households affected by Typhoon Morakot. The study emphasized the importance of psychological adjustment and autonomy in disaster response.
4. NYCU partnered with the Chateau Group to launch Taiwan’s first AI-powered Continuous Care Retirement Community in Yilan, integrating healthcare, long-term care, and AI to address the challenges of a super-aged society.
