Cooperation on water security
NYCU collaborates with local, regional, national, and international partners to promote water security. The Disaster Prevention and Water Environment Research Center (DPWE) supports government agencies in implementing flood response measures and developing reservoir and river monitoring techniques to enhance public water safety.
The Environment Technology & Smart System Research Center (ETSS) also works closely with the Ministry of Environment to advance low-pollution technologies that address challenges in high-nitrogen organic wastewater treatment. Furthermore, ETSS co-organized the India-Taiwan International Water Forum: Industrial Wastewater Discharges – Current Challenges and Opportunities, sharing Taiwan’s environmental expertise to help Asia-Pacific partner countries manage groundwater pollution and improve water security and sanitation infrastructure.
