Staff hunger interventions

The university provides interventions to prevent hunger among staff by ensuring uninterrupted access to meals during working hours and guaranteeing a wide range of affordable food options on campus.

1. Direct Interventions During Working Hours
The university implements specific measures to ensure staff can access meals without financial or logistical disruption during their workday:

Protected Meal Times: Staff working hours are arranged to avoid disruption during the regular meal time (12:00–13:00).

Meal Budget Provision: If a staff member’s work schedule must overlap with the standard meal period, the university provides a food budget to cover the cost of meals during that time. (Reference: Link 1, Document p.166, Point 3)

2. General Food Access and Affordability
The university ensures convenient and diverse food options are available to all staff:

Diverse Dining: Each campus offers a wide variety of dining options at various price points.

Extended Convenience: 24-hour convenience stores and numerous vending machines are installed across all campuses, ensuring easy access to food and drinks at any time.
