【NYCU X Cross-Disciplinary Lecture】Cross-Disciplinary Encounters: A Journey Through Theater, Energy, and the Food Industry

This lecture invites the two founders of 8more (Taiwan’s first Tremella-focused specialty store),Coai and Kakika, to share their experiences of courageously stepping out of their original fields of study, facing various crises, and discovering new opportunities. Together, they ventured from the cultural sector to the tech industry and eventually settled in the food industry, embarking on a cross-disciplinary entrepreneurial journey. Interested students, don’t miss out on this inspiring story filled with the highs and lows of their journey!

Coai transitioned from the cultural sector to the tech industry and has successfully started multiple businesses across different fields. In 1996, he was invited into the cultural world, where he later helped bring the U-Theatre to international stages. He has also been awarded a Fulbright Scholar and completed the one-on-one Business Coaching program at The Enlightened Business Institute in New York. He excels as a corporate executive coach, leading team-building sessions, and providing sales training.

Kakika founded a trading company specializing in importing and exporting Indian handcrafted artworks in her youth. Later, she focused on promoting the internationalization of cultural and artistic teams. She is skilled in leading high-performance teams and reading clubs. With a background in medical school and a passion for in-depth observation of nature and humanity, she has developed a unique and compelling leadership style.
