NYCU Sustainability Literacy Report
As global challenges such as climate change, resource depletion, and social inequality intensify, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have become a shared framework for international action. In this context, sustainability literacy is recognized as a critical capability that integrates environmental, social, and economic perspectives, enabling individuals and organizations to translate sustainability principles into everyday decisions and actions.
In response to growing global expectations for SDG implementation, the Center for Institutional Research and Data Analytics (CIRDA) launched the NYCU Sustainability Literacy Survey in 2024, with the SDGs as its core framework. The program includes a university-wide sustainability literacy survey to assess students’ awareness and actions related to sustainability, providing key insights for university governance, education initiatives, and resource allocation, while fostering a more sustainability-oriented campus culture.
