#1-Hour Community Activity Recognition for Liberal Arts Practicum

[Gender OPEN MIC, Open Your MIND – Gender in the Spotlight of Sports]

This Lecture in mainly conducted in Mandarin.

Were you obsessed with the Olympics this summer?
The Paris Olympics brought us countless stories of passion, bravery, and perseverance—
moments that moved us, made us regret, and even outraged us.
Surprisingly, “gender” emerged as a trending topic during this year’s Olympics!

Following last year’s “Gender OPEN MIC, Open Your MIND” series in the JFY Interdisciplinary Community,
we are kicking off this semester’s first event by inviting Wu Yi-Fei,
Chairperson of  The Kaohsiung Association for the Promotion of Women’ s Rights (KAPWR) .
Besides her extensive advocacy work in gender equality, she is also the Operations Director and boxing coach at BTSS Boxing & Physical Fitness.
In this lecture, she will discuss how gender differences influence participation in sports and the role gender factors play in athletic performance on the field.

Diverse connections, experiential learning, we are Sustainable and Peer Education Center (SPEC)!
