Center for Industry-Academia Collaboration (CIAC) of National Chiao Tung University (hereafter NCTU) jointly hosted the NCTUxMVP International Startup Workshop Series with MVP Fastlane in 2020, for which nine full English training courses were planned and entrepreneurs experienced in international entrepreneurships were invited to share with students their business models, fundraising experience, team composition, and pricing strategies. The goal was to introduce international entrepreneurship resources to NCTU through the assistance of MVP Fastlane. International student teams have joined the NCTU Seed Fund Entrepreneurial Competition since 2017. In 2017, four international student teams participated in the competition, two of which won the finals and founded their companies. Particularly, the Ballcast team, comprised of Ukrainian students who studied in Taiwan and developed an emotional bond with the country, chose to establish their company on Taiwan soil. The purpose of the NCTU Seed Fund Entrepreneurial Competition is to provide full English entrepreneurship coaching and resources to international student teams. Professionals, lawyers, and accountants fluent in English have been invited to assist participating teams in planning their entrepreneurships. The 2020 competition saw the participation of two international student entrepreneurial teams. Particularly, the Go with Park team has passed the semifinals by using a smart parking platform for popular places as its theme for the entrepreneurial project and is on course to competing for the NT$300,000 prize in the finals. The team consists of students from the EECS International Graduate Program in NCTU.
