Since 2014, the European Union has implemented the Erasmus+ Program to provide broader education for young adults. The program encourages collaboration between participating countries to promote the learning mobility of individuals, innovation and practical exchange, and educational policy reforms.
Starting from 2015, the Chiao Tung University Campus of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) has received invitations from its sister schools in Europe to submit Erasmus+ partnership proposals to the European Union. These cooperative efforts include the exchange of teachers, students, and other employees. Thus far, NYCU has collaborated with Vilnius Gediminas Technical University in Lithuania, Krakow University of Economics in Poland, Koç University in Turkey, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Poland, University of Agder in Norway, University of Bordeaux in France, and Hasselt University in Belgium for the exchange of six teachers, eleven students, and three employees. This allows NYCU and its partnering universities to share their experience in educational affairs, school administration, and professional fields.
