NYCU and Taoyuan City collaborate to promote AI camps to cultivate new generation of technology talents

2024-09-07

As artificial intelligence (AI) technology has become the core driving force of global technological innovation, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University and Taoyuan City Education Bureau jointly organized the “Make Friends with AI-Hands-On Experience Camp” to provide Taoyuan students with opportunities to learn and practice AI technology in depth. It attracted more than 100 outstanding students from various high schools in Taoyuan City to participate, hoping to improve students’ technological literacy and jointly promote the popularization of artificial intelligence education.

This camp was carefully designed by professional lecturers in the field of AI invited by Yangming Jiaotong University. The courses covered core AI technologies such as machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing. At the same time, the camp also helped students understand the application of AI tools in different fields, such as AI conversation models, image art, music, and animation creation. Under the guidance of teachers, students worked with their group partners to come up with ideas and create, showing refreshing special results and gaining valuable practical experience.

In addition to helping students understand the principles and applications of AI technology, the two-day camp also invited industry experts to share practical cases of how AI technology can improve product performance and user experience in the industry. They also discussed in depth the copyright issues and challenges faced by digital creation and generative AI. Through the sharing of these practical experiences, students have a deeper understanding of how AI technology will shape the future workplace and daily life.

Taoyuan City Education Bureau said that this AI hands-on experience camp attracted more than 100 high school students to sign up, which fully demonstrated the students’ high interest and enthusiasm for artificial intelligence technology. We are very happy to work with Yang Ming National Chiao Tung University to give students the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the theory and practical application of AI technology. We believe that through such hands-on experience, they can cultivate their creative thinking and problem-solving skills to meet the challenges of the AI era.

Yang Ming National Chiao Tung University hopes to lead students to learn in depth from multiple perspectives such as AI theory, tool application, industry practice, copyright and other aspects through the “Make Friends with AI-Practical Experience Camp”, and fully understand all aspects of AI technology. Finally, through further practice, the knowledge learned will be transformed into practical applications, and their own special results will be created to inspire students to continue to learn and explore in the field of AI. With the continuous development of AI technology, Yang Ming National Chiao Tung University and Taoyuan City will continue to deepen cooperation and jointly promote the popularization and deepening of AI education, hoping to sow the seeds of AI innovation among the younger generation and cultivate more internationally competitive talents for Taiwan’s future technological progress.
