NYCU Develops Metasurface Lens with Cross-country Team

Ultraviolet light can be applied to disinfection, producing green energy, quantum computation and photolithography of the semi-conductor plants. However, it is not easy to produce and control the UV light effectively.
The assistant professor of NYCU institution of electronics, Zeng Ming Lun, has collaborated with Rice University and Academia Sinica. They invented Metasurface lens, which can produce and focus UV light effectively. It is believed that Metasurface lens can bring more significant application to green energy and technology development in the future. Their achievement is also published in the well-known international journal, Science Advances.
