2022-04-07

On 24th October 2021, Zi Zhu EMBA Association’s alumni went to Ponlai Elementary School, Nan’ao Township to play baseball together with students and donate some equipment to the baseball team to help in further development of their skills.

Many executives from our school as well as governments attend this activity that they co-organized together. NYCU President Chi-Hung Lin, NYCU Affiliated Hospital’s Vice President Yiing-Jenq Chou, EMBA Executive Director Chia-Chi Chang, Yilan Ponlai Elementary School Principal Li-Ping Wang, Yilan Health Bureau and local governors contributed in this activity.

Chia-Shun Luo, event coordinator and director-general of Zi Zhu Society shared that “this event is part of NYCU’s social responsibility program called Tribal Star – Smart Village Health Training Program”. The free clinic activity was also held in celebration of “World Osteoporosis Day” and carried out a public sarcopenia and bone density examinations for local residents. They are deeply pleased to receive such a free service.

Shu-Jhen Wang who was in charge of the activity that day acted as a host to bridge NYCU, Ponlai Elementary school, and Nan’ao residents altogether to build their friendships as a team. Her team then prepared a reusable tablewares for the event meal, with ingredients freshly selected from local farmers and wrapped in moon peach leaves to minimize the waste generated by the activities and prove that this action can be actualized.

It is worth mentioning that the time invested in the preparation of the event have formed a spark that ignites everyone’s inner enthusiasm. Some people paid attention to the sudden drop in temperature and swiftly prepare some ginger tea for everyone to warm up. Some people know that the road to the beach is not in good condition and they started repaving the road. Sharing happiness by giving more than receiving each other sincerely are also part of this activity’s goals to restore faith in humanity. President Chi-Hung Lin expressed that he was happy to see the smile and the strength of the joint schools being so fulfilling.
