Participation in the Joint International Tropical Medicine Meeting 2020 Virtual Conference and establishment of the Taiwan COVID-19 Research and Pandemic Prevention Forum

The Research Center for Epidemic Prevention Science established the Taiwan COVID-19 Research and Pandemic Prevention Forum at the Joint International Tropical Medicine Meeting (JITMM) 2020 Virtual Conference following an invitation from the conference administrators. The forum was hosted by Prof. Steve H. S. Kuo, with keynote speeches given by Prof. Wen-Chen Chang on COVID-19 pandemic prevention policies in Taiwan from the perspective of human rights protection and legal regulations; Dr. Kuang-Yao Yang on the current status of COVID-19; Prof. Hong-Han Shuai on the application of artificial intelligence technology to pandemic prevention strategies; and Dr. Allen Lien on vaccine development in Taiwan. The forum facilitated the exchanges of pandemic prevention knowledge and experiences between Taiwan and the global community.
