Abstract:
The content of this speech is based on the speaker’s experience in community building work in Beitou for many years. Examples include: opposition to the construction of the Beitou Cable Car, the movement to restore the splendor of the New Beitou Station, and public-private collaboration to promote the National Open University Community Class, Restore Beitou’s century-old tradition “Tang Shou Guanyin Festival”. Looking back from the development of the case: NPO organizations and the public sector have gone from confrontation to complementarity and collaboration to achieve results in promoting community building and local creation. The speaker hopes that the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University will play the key role on the public issues to be advocated of Beitou. And then keep carrying forward the spirit of “Mind and Hand”, work with residents to create a livable community.
