Promote sustainable commuting
The University provides diverse and convenient green transportation options to reduce the vehicle ownership ratio. The University has ten Youbike stations: three on the Yangming Campus, four on the Guangfu Campus, one on the Boai Campus, one on the Liujia Campus, and one on the Gueiren Campus. The University also installed e-bike and e-scooter sharing stations at the scooter parking lots. The Yangming Campus also has two car-sharing stations with car rental discounts for students and faculty. The University provides free public transportation for the students, faculty, and staff members to commute across campuses. For areas not covered by the bus routes, the University offers rides to students and faculty members with different discounted fares, and fares are kept low to promote public transportation for conserving energy and reducing carbon emissions. Also, automatic payment stations and license plate recognition systems are installed on campus to effectively ease the traffic flow and divert vehicles that must pay parking fees.
