Health outreach programmes

1. Local communities: NYCU offers courses for the Senior University, serving individuals aged 55 or older in the neighborhood. The courses include age-related disease (ARD), health and recreation, and a series of hands-on activities.

2. Disadvantaged people: The university’s dentistry team transformed a nine-seater minibus into a “Digital Dental Mobile Clinic.” The mobile clinic traveled to Nan’ao in Yilan to provide oral health check-ups, enhancing the speed and depth of dental care in remote areas. Bringing the latest digital dental technology to Nan’ao eased the burden on residents who would otherwise have to travel to the city for treatment, ensuring convenient local oral healthcare for the community.

3.Refugee/immigrant communities: To support Ukrainian students whose education was disrupted by the war, our university launched a fundraising and enrolment initiative, receiving generous support from caring enterprises and alumni. Since 2022, we have provided financial assistance to displaced Ukrainian students affected by the conflict. The university is also continuing enrolment efforts for the 2023 autumn semester to ensure that the donors’ contributions are put to the best possible use.
