Assistance to low-carbon innovation

■NYCU fosters collaboration between industry and academia, supporting startups with technology, funding, and market access. Its Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre assisted “EAK Consultants & Sustainability Technology Co., Ltd.” in developing renewable energy solutions, including hydrogen fuel cells and circular energy systems, contributing to low-carbon development across the Asia-Pacific. NYCU also promotes sustainable practices through the DIYGreen Zero-Waste Circular Urban Farm and an MoU with the Taiwan Hydrogen Energy Development Association and partners in the Philippines. This collaboration, noted as “NYCU Expands to the Philippines with Sustainable Hydrogen Collaboration,” advances hydrogen innovation and international cooperation across the G20 region.

■The Ennoconn-NYCU ESG Net Zero Transformation and Innovation Research Centre was established to promote the adoption of ESG practices by enterprises and the development of smart cities to achieve net-zero emissions. The centre provides professional guidance for companies and cultivates green technology leaders with forward-thinking mindsets, fostering sustainable corporate practices. NYCU’s Centre of Industry Accelerator and Patent Strategy (IAPS) has cultivated over 950 startup teams and scientific research teams, with technology teams supported by the project raising more than NT$300 million in funding annually. Mentorship forms a huge part of the IAPS accelerator experience. We gather the top minds in the industry to connect our startups to partners, providing industry expertise and helping the businesses prepare for investment.
