Climate Action Plan, shared with local government and local community groups

NYCU has developed and advanced a university-wide Climate Action Plan that began with key partnerships in 2023 and has continued through 2024 to the present. Early actions included signing an MOU with the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy, collaboration with ITRI and Kyushu University on green technology and talent exchange, and launching the American Taiwan Climate Club with the American Climate Club to promote carbon rights in trade and strengthen pathways toward net-zero by 2050. Throughout 2024, NYCU expanded its partner network, engaging governments, NGOs, industry, and community groups in climate dialogue and action. These ongoing efforts culminated in a publicly announced government collaboration in 2025, focusing on river safety, hydraulic structure assessment, basin adaptation, and disaster-prevention training. NYCU actively shares its plan and outcomes with local governments and local communities to build regional climate resilience.
