University access to local farmers and food producers

NYCU provides access to facilities and technologies that local farmers and food producers can use to improve sustainable practices:
■ AgriTalk Smart Agriculture System
Headquartered on NYCU’s Bo-Ai Campus (Hsinchu), AgriTalk offers on-farm IoT monitoring, AI-based predictions (e.g., soil microbiome/fertility, disease and pest risks), sensor/control modules, and a web dashboard for remote management—giving growers direct access to university-hosted tools for precision, low-input farming.
■ DIYGreen Zero-waste Circular Urban Farm
Led by NYCU’s Institute of Environmental Engineering, DIYGreen is open to communities, schools, and businesses for curricula, demonstrations, and outreach. It supports urban farming, family gardens, and teaching venues in adopting water-saving and resource-recycling cultivation methods, helping local small-scale producers strengthen sustainable practices.
