As autumn deepens, the Liberal Arts College (LAC) warmly invites you to join us for a lecture entitled “Blue Innovations for Net Zero” on October 1st, featuring Professor Gunter Pauli, a renowned advocate of the blue economy.
This event is an exceptional opportunity to explore the currents of a sustainable global economy.
Since 1987, Professor Pauli has been dedicated to integrating zero-emission standards into business and industrial plans. Notably, in 1992, he established the world’s first zero-emission factory and developed hundreds of nature-inspired technologies that not only reduce waste but also generate additional economic value. His concept of the blue economy has inspired twenty-four governments and the United Nations to establish dedicated departments to promote sustainable development. During the lecture, Professor Pauli will share insights on how mimicking natural systems can address today’s environmental challenges and achieve zero emissions in industrial activities.
The LAC encourages all faculty and students interested in environmental protection, sustainable development, and innovative technologies to participate. 📣 e-Portfolio: Full participation in person can be included in the learning trajectory record of campus activities.
📣 Liberal Arts Credits: After participating in liberal arts lectures, community activities, and cultural events, the executing unit will assist students in logging their participation records on the e-Portfolio. Accumulating 8 hours from various activities qualifies for 0.5 credits, with hours less than 8 not being eligible for credit. Activity hours can be accumulated across semesters. Students can check their “Liberal Arts Credits” in the “Course History” section on the e-Portfolio to see if they have accumulated enough hours. Afterwards, they can enroll in the “Liberal Arts Credits” course and obtain credits based on the e-Portfolio record!
Attendees of the in-person event will have the opportunity to receive a limited edition signed book by the author.
