Environmental education collaborate with NGO

NYCU actively collaborates with NGOs to advance climate adaptation through education, action, and community engagement. In 2024, the university partnered with the Green Citizens’ Action Alliance to host the Climate Threshold Film Festival, featuring screenings and essay contests aimed at raising public awareness of climate resilience. NYCU also collaborated with ecological NGOs to conduct biodiversity monitoring, tree health surveys, and carbon stock assessments, enabling participants to understand how ecosystems and societies adapt to climate change. Furthermore, the Department of Industrial Engineering collaborated with the Tien Yu Environmental Sustainability Foundation to organize a coastal cleanup in Hsinchu, combining hands-on action with multimedia outreach to promote environmental protection. Students also joined the Foundation’s AI Green Technology Innovation Competition, winning the 2024 championship. These initiatives demonstrate how NYCU leverages NGO partnerships to integrate science, education, and civic action for stronger climate adaptation.
