Academic freedom policy

• In 2021, the university issued the Statement on Academic Freedom, affirming the right of faculty and researchers to teach and conduct research free from political or commercial interference. This policy applies to both junior and senior academics and is publicly accessible online.
• To enhance teaching quality, the university offers resources and training, including annual New Faculty Orientations and Retreats that familiarize new academics with available support.
• To foster innovation, the university provides programs for faculty at all levels. Early-career researchers benefit from incentive and subsidy schemes that promote fundamental research and the implementation of higher education development projects.
