This year we are incorporating tree climbing, slacklining and rappelling into our teaching experiences. We invite you to join us on a healing sports journey that offers expansive views and is filled with phytoncides.

Under the guidance of professional coaches and safety supervision, challenge your personal limits in a safe environment. Through unstructured resistance exercises, you will experience physical practice, learn to protect trees, and respect life during the tree climbing process.

 [Teaching Experience Introduction]
Tree Climbing
: Using a special harness and rope, climb towards the tree canopy, coordinating hands, feet, and body movements. This activity trains hand-eye-body coordination, core muscles and balance, while overcoming a fear of heights. Continuously challenging yourself and overcoming psychological barriers helps you understand and affirm yourself through safe adventure experiences.

Slacklining: A low-altitude challenge with gentle stimulation that tests your static balance. Starting from an unsteady walk to a steady stance, you will gradually learn the essential skills to control your body. Slacklining helps improve focus, muscular endurance, and balance. With more practice, balancing becomes easier.

Rapelling: Rappelling (rope descent) uses the friction between the rope and descent device to control your descent speed. Staying calm and steady is essential to avoid losing control from descending too quickly or swinging too much, which could lead to collisions or the loosening of anchor points. This activity teaches you how to manage spontaneous anxiety and conflict, learning the lesson of “slow and steady is stable, stable is fast.”

Event Times (Full participation is required;The sessions include warm-up, safety awareness briefing, safety instructions, and equipment fitting.)

1st Session: 08:40–10:10
2nd Session: 09:50–11:20
3rd Session: 11:00–12:30
4th Session: 13:10–14:40
5th Session: 14:20–16:00

Location (Guangfu Campus) Track and Field (Sacred Fire Platform) and Nearby Forest Area
Target Audience Free participation, priority given to students of NYCU.
A total of 50 spots are available.

Registration is open from now until March 11 (Tuesday) at 15:00. If the number of students enrolled exceeds the number of activities, a lottery system will be adopted, and the admission will be notified by email before March 12.
