Inform and support government

Interdisciplinary teams from the Department of Civil Engineering and the Disaster Prevention and Water Environment Research Center (DPWE) provide scientific expertise, data, and technical solutions through multiple collaborations:
• With MOI – Contributed to the Northern Taiwan Urban Flood Management Project and the maintenance of monitoring facilities for sediment transport and flood observation at Shimen Reservoir.
• With MEA – Supported flood early warning and integrated disaster prevention operations, reviewed national river warning levels, and joined the Taiwan–U.S. Water Resources Cooperation on global drought mitigation.
• With Hsinchu County Government – Delivered professional services for an integrated flood prevention programme.
• With New Taipei City Government – Developed and maintained the Smart Flood Control Platform and flood image recognition system for real-time monitoring and response.
