Affordable housing for employees
The University offers affordable on-campus housing for its employees.
•Yangming Campus: 151 units (hilltop houses, hillside village, foothill apartments), with 116 allocated to long-term faculty/staff and 35 reserved for newly appointed faculty. Rents are indexed to the building’s age and set at one-third of the market rate to ensure affordability. The University conducts annual condition assessments and budgets for repairs and upgrades.
•Guangfu Campus: A staff dormitory with 160 single rooms and 133 multi-room units offers safe, well-located, cost-effective housing under an updated management framework. Single rooms are in high demand due to their lower cost, proximity to campus, convenient access, and quiet neighborhood.
These provisions reduce living costs, support recruitment and retention, and shorten commutes.
