Employment policy pay scale equity

NYCU has a university-level policy that prohibits any gender-based differential treatment in pay and requires “equal pay for equal work/equal value.” The university’s “Workplace Sexual Harassment and Gender Discrimination Prevention & Handling Guideline” explicitly state that salary payments must not differ by gender for work of the same work or value, and provide complaint/investigation mechanisms to correct violations. In addition, faculty compensation follows the Ministry of Education’s Teacher Remuneration Act with standardized national pay scales, which structurally reduces the risk of gender pay gaps. NYCU’s Gender Equality Education Committee also publishes regular gender statistics for staff and students to support ongoing monitoring and review.
