陽明交大讓「廢木重生」:從校園起步的永續生活典範

2025 NYCU 永續月於9月2日在光復校區正式開幕,由校長、永社辦執行長與各協力單位共同點亮啟動光束 國立陽明交通大學(NYCU)把「廢木」變「寶」!原本因颱風折斷的樹木、修枝後的枝幹,甚至是棒球隊比賽中打裂的球棒,在校園內被一一收集、設計與再製,搖身一變成為實用的小家具、花台,甚至是充滿巧思的工藝作品。這些木材以全新姿態回到校園,成為「循環再生」的最好示範,也展現大學推動循環經濟的行動力。 自校園出發的循環經濟模式 「校園樹木循環再生」計畫,是今年「2025 NYCU 永續月」的重要亮點。以往校園修枝或風災倒伏的樹木,常因處理方便而被粉碎焚燒,不僅浪費資源,還會讓固碳重新釋放回大氣。陽明交大選擇以「再設計」取代「焚燒」,透過師生與社區的創意,將木材賦予第二生命,真正做到「讓資源再生、讓價值延續」。 校長林奇宏表示:「永續不是口號,而是早已寫進陽明交大的DNA。這些木材不只是被再利用,而是循環經濟精神最具象徵性的實踐。」從「永續日」、「永續週」,到今年擴大舉辦的「永續月」,陽明交大一步步將永續理念深植校園文化,讓環保不只是倡議,而是具體可見的日常。 「校園樹木循環再生」的價值不僅在於校園的環保與美化,更在於提供一個可被複製、推廣的模式。 從校園走向社區、城市與國家 如果「樹木循環再生」於校園中可行,就可能延伸至社區,讓修剪樹枝或公共空間的廢木也能重生。社區若也可行,就能推廣至城市,讓都市綠地維護過程中產生的木材資源再利用。進一步,甚至能在全國建立「木材循環再生」的永續模式,成為政策與教育並行的典範。 這意味著,陽明交大的行動不只是校園故事,而是台灣在推動循環經濟與氣候行動上的縮影。   從自然到人文的「永續DNA」 在為期一個月的系列活動中,陽明交大提出「永續DNA:創新、韌性、實踐」的願景。不僅展示自然資源的循環創新,更強調「以人為本」的身心靈韌性,規劃電影、藝文展演、講座與USR年報發表會,並舉辦論壇、參訪與工作坊,串聯在地社區與國際議題,共同呼應聯合國永續發展目標(SDGs)。 撰稿: 國際宣傳辦公室 賴嬿阡 / 圖片提供:國際宣傳辦公室、永社辦
